We had the great pleasure of seeing John Schmitt the other night at a Sofar Sounds event in the culturally diverse and  eclectic Philadelphia neighborhood of Fishtown.   These events are "secret living room" concerts held in over 15 cities all around the world.  You never know who you are going to see/hear until showtime.   John was the first performer.  We didn't know what to expect when this pleasant and unassuming young man headed towards the front of the room.   His voice is beautiful, rich and melodic (think James Taylor meets Ray LaMontagne).     Here is some video we shot...      More about John from ReverbNation:     Called "one of New York City's best young storytellers," John Schmitt was born and raised in Buffalo, NY, and his songs are a direct reflection of his experiences growing up there.
