Zombie Dreams

Dreams can't hurt you.

They are ghosts, memories, fading light and shadow.

They are visions of Before, visions of Ago.

Old, withered, sometimes frightening.

But dream can not hurt you.

 

Except when they can.

Zombie dreams, ancient corpses,

Writhe up out of the dark, reaching and clawing.

Bloody faces, sunken eyes,

Ripping teeth snap and bite.

Drive into your mind, into your soul.

They eat your eyes. 

Zombie dreams eat your eyes.

 

Dreams are ghosts and visions.

They can't hurt you.

Except when they can.
