The month of October is a special month. Special in the sense that it brings an important reminder for women of all ages and origins. October is synonym with Breast Cancer Awareness.   Most of us connect ourselves to this campaign by wearing pink clothing, wearing a pink ribbon, participating in marathons, and others choose to participate by making donations to their agency of choice.   All these different ways of giving our support are not only important but are vital. Why? There are so many reasons that could be listed, however when I browsed through the website for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.  I found a two reasons why we should put a stronger effort towards raising awareness and providing support to others that perhaps are in need of it.    One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Another way we can connect, is by communicating with others about the seriousness of early detection. Early detection is important due to the fact that with early detection, there is a greater chance of finding out if one has breast cancer in its most early stages which allows for having a higher successful recovery if detected.     Whether we know a family member, friend, acquaintance or not, who is batteling this disease, we can still make an attempt to provide comfort to others. How? There are many well known companies that are still currently having a campaign to help those women who are in desperate need of assistance. One company that I am aware of is Hanes. During this month, Hanes has been running a campaign on thier Facebook Fan Page, called: Virtual Comfort Pacakage App. (located on the PINK tab).   When using the Virtual Comfort Package, you can send a FREE virtual message that can be customized with videos, photos, recipes, music or just a personal written message. Hanes has opted to donate $1 for each…
