Virgin Mobile just started offering a better option for mobile internet access. It's a MiFi card - a battery operated 3G wifi hotspot about the size of a credit card. Verizon and Sprint offer the same hardware. But Virgin Mobile's data plan is unique - no contract, unlimited data for $40 month. Compared to the 2 year minimum contract, download limits and $60/month, this new offering is a game changer.
Best of all is the no contract part. You can pay for any month you want to use - and skip paying for months when you don't need it.
