December Challenge Wrap Up: Winners Announced!
The impressive quality of the entries made it very difficult to pick a winner — the editors had many great stories to choose from.
$500 cash prize and a hardcover bound coffee table book, containing the top four entries from this challenge.
Here are some of our notes on "Waiting for Rwanda":
"Waiting for Rwanda has a natural flow that builds to a powerful conclusion — it's visceral and engaging." — Joseph Yen, Co-Founder, CEO
"Remarkable for the degree of power and moral force it generates on the strength of complete inaction.." — Douglas Gorney, Content Director, Editor-in-Chief
There were many excellent stories and selecting only one was difficult. Here are some others we really liked:
"Promise and Collapse" — Duncan Vieira
"Somewhat Operational" — Cinafero Hollbeck
"A Breakup" — L. Imming
"Major Tom to Ground Control" — L.F. Sellyn
