If you have been following WTT for some time you might remember my prediction that Jon Huntsman would be the next Republican presidential candidate. Unfortunately, my criteria for a good candidate is not the same as the Republican Party's. Apparently, the smartest choice is no longer the right choice.

Recounting his first experience on the presidential debate stage in Iowa last August, Huntsman says he was struck by the question "Is this the best we could do?"
